What is Lapped Joint Titanium Flange?
Lapped Joint Titanium Flange is a pipe connection component made of titanium or titanium alloy. It mainly consists of two parts: one is a movable flange, and the other is a flanged nipple or welding ring welded to the pipe. The flange can rotate freely on the flanged nipple or welding ring. This design greatly facilitates installation and disassembly, and shows unique advantages in practical applications.
Compared with common flat welding flanges and butt welding flanges, the biggest feature of Lapped Joint Titanium Flange is its movable structure. Flat welding flanges are welded by directly inserting the pipe into the inner hole of the flange, while butt welding flanges are connected to the pipe by butt welding with a neck and a smooth transition section. The slip-on structure of Lapped Joint Titanium Flange makes it unnecessary to accurately align the bolt holes during installation like the previous two, which greatly improves the installation efficiency, especially suitable for large-diameter pipes and occasions that require frequent disassembly.

Lapped Joint Titanium Flange Titanium Grade
GR1 and GR2: These two are industrial pure titanium with good corrosion resistance. In generally non-corrosive environments, such as pipeline connections in the chemical, food and beverage industries, GR1 and GR2 Lapped Joint Titanium Flange meet the needs, and the cost is relatively low, with high cost performance.
GR5 – (6AL aluminum) – (4V vanadium): It is one of the most widely used titanium alloys, with excellent comprehensive performance, high strength, good toughness and strong corrosion resistance. It has a large number of applications in medical equipment, shipbuilding, marine engineering and other fields. For example, in the manufacture of artificial joints, due to its good compatibility with human bones and its low resistance to rejection, it is often used to manufacture joint connection parts; in the seawater cooling system pipelines of ships, it can effectively resist the corrosion of seawater and ensure the long-term stable operation of the system.

GR6 – (5AL aluminum) – (2.5Sn tin): This titanium alloy has high strength and good corrosion resistance, especially in high temperature and complex chemical environments. Sealing Surface
- Flat face (FF - Flat Face)

- Raised face (RF - Raised Face)
The raised face sealing surface has a raised ring on the flange sealing surface. Its sealing performance is better than that of the flat face, and it is widely used. It can be used for connecting various medium and low pressure media pipelines, such as general pipelines in the chemical, power and other industries.
- Concave and convex face (MF - FM - Male and Female Face)
The concave and convex face sealing surface consists of a convex surface (Male) and a concave surface (Female). The convex surface and the concave surface cooperate with each other during installation. This type of sealing surface has good sealing performance and can effectively prevent media leakage. It is often used in toxic, flammable, explosive and medium and high pressure media pipelines, such as gasoline and diesel transmission pipelines in petroleum refining.
- Tongue and Groove Face (TG)

Because the tongue and groove are closely matched, they can effectively prevent the penetration of the medium.
