For medium to large fasteners ranging from M12 to M120, Wstitanium has established a precision CNC machining and thread manufacturing system. It is equipped with dozens of CNC lathes, milling-turning centers, Swiss-type lathes, and CNC milling machines from the United States, Japan, and Germany, achieving high-precision and high-stability machining. Dimensional precision reach ±0.005mm. Surface roughness reach within Ra0.2μm, fully complying with international standards such as ISO, DIN, and ASTM.
Heat Treatment
Heat treatment is a core technology determining the mechanical properties of titanium alloy fasteners. Solution treatment and aging treatment adjust the microstructure of titanium alloys to obtain the required core indicators such as tensile strength, yield strength, elongation, and fatigue resistance.
Wstitanium has developed customized heat treatment solutions for different grades of titanium alloys. For example, for TC4 (Ti-6Al-4V) titanium alloy commonly used in aerospace, a 920℃ solution treatment + water quenching + 540℃ aging treatment technique is used. This results in a uniform α+β dual-phase microstructure, ensuring a tensile strength ≥860MPa, a yield strength ≥790MPa, and an elongation ≥10%. For titanium fasteners in high-end fields such as aerospace and medical applications, Wstitanium also provides special technologies such as ultra-fine grain heat treatment and low-temperature aging treatment to further improve the fatigue resistance and fracture toughness of the products.
After each batch of products undergoes heat treatment, a full range of mechanical properties are tested. Only when all indicators meet the standard requirements can the product proceed to the next process, ensuring the stability and consistency of product performance.
Finishing Services
Finishing Services further enhance the corrosion resistance, wear resistance, and aesthetics of titanium fasteners, meeting the specific needs of various industries. Wstitanium has established a comprehensive environmentally friendly surface treatment system. All technologies comply with EU RoHS and REACH environmental standards and are free of harmful substances such as chromium and lead.
Passivation: Utilizing nitric acid passivation and chromium-free passivation technologies, a dense oxide film is formed on the titanium surface, significantly improving the product’s corrosion resistance. Neutral salt spray resistance can reach over 500 hours, suitable for general industrial, chemical, and marine applications.
Micro-arc oxidation: Forms a ceramic oxide film on the titanium surface, achieving a hardness of HV1000 or higher. It offers excellent wear resistance, corrosion resistance, and insulation, making it suitable for high-end applications requiring wear resistance and insulation, such as new energy vehicles and electronic equipment.
PVD coating: Utilizes physical vapor deposition to coat the titanium surface with coatings such as TiN, TiCN, and DLC. It achieves a hardness of HV2000 or higher, excellent wear resistance, and a low coefficient of friction, making it suitable for high-wear, high-speed applications such as racing cars and precision machinery.
Precision polishing: Offers mechanical and electrolytic polishing services, achieving a surface roughness of Ra0.2μm or less, resulting in a mirror finish. Suitable for medical equipment, high-end jewelry, optical equipment, and other fields.
Anodizing: Using sulfuric acid anodizing and hard anodizing, a 5-50μm thick oxide film can be formed on the titanium surface. Hardness can reach HV300 or higher, significantly improving the product’s wear resistance and corrosion resistance. By controlling the oxidation voltage, various colors such as silver, gold, blue, black, and red can be obtained. Widely used in medical, aerospace, electronics, and sporting goods industries. Black anodized products, in particular, have good light absorption and no reflection, making them suitable for optical equipment and aerospace instruments.
